Jessie J already has her New Year’s resolution planned out. The “Price Tag” hitmaker revealed that she’s determined to make changes in her unregulated diet plan after giving birth to her son.
Jessie J Says She Plans on Changing Her Postpartum Diet
In an Instagram Story post on Tuesday, Jessie J talked about the slow changes she wants to incorporate in her nutrition. Moisturizing her face in a white bathrobe, the singer said “new year, new me” will be her 2024 mantra.
“Obviously growth and challenging yourself but ultimately we’re the same,” she said.
Later, the “Flashlight” singer candidly talked about how pregnancy and miscarriage prompted an inconsistent diet plan. Jessie explained her journey in a black page on her Instagram Story.
“I stopped being vegan when I fell pregnant for the first time,” she wrote. “Then didn’t stop. Then when I fell pregnant the second time I was off meat completely and then craved it like crazy when I was breastfeeding.”
In November 2021, Jessie announced that she miscarried during her first pregnancy. The devastating incident happened after she called it quits with her former partner Max Pham and decided to have a baby alone.
Over a year later, she welcomed son Sky Safir Cornish Colman with her athlete boyfriend Chanan Safir Colman. With her postpartum in the works, Jessie admitted that she doesn’t feel too confident with her body at the moment. Nonetheless, the singer said doesn’t intend to see results immediately.
“Fast forward to now. I wanna be vegan again, not applying so much pressure on myself this time. But defo (sic) don’t feel good in my body,” she wrote. “And when it’s ready and able to change again it will. Whatever that looks like. I’m here for it.”
The singer ended her Story posts with a close-up snap of her son.
She Opened Up About Struggling on Self-Love
Ahead of 2024, Jessie uploaded a series of photos showing the state of her body after birth. The “Domino” singer accommodated the carousel with candid caption about self-love.
“I’m not afraid to admit that I have got a little lost along the way for various reasons recently with self love. This is a hard reminder I am still here alive and will burn if I don’t put factor 50 on dat ass,” she wrote.
Upon seeing the post, several fans took to the comment section to praise Jessie for being real.
“Thanks for sharing this, we need some realness in this feed,” a fan wrote.
“You are [an] inspiration mommy,” another user commented.
Most comments also consisted of appreciation messages for how beautiful the singer is.
