The first trailer for Wicked: For Good is set to be released online Wednesday night. The film, due out this November, adapts the second half of the hit Broadway musical, once again starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.

How to Watch the Wicked: For Good Trailer Tonight

There are two ways to watch the new Wicked: For Good trailer on Wednesday, June 4. The first is by attending a special screening of the first Wicked film in theaters. These screenings will be held at more than 100 theaters in the U.S. and Canada at the same time, with a sneak peek at the second film included.

Once moviegoers have had a chance to see the trailer, it will be available for everyone else to view online. According to NBC, the Wicked screenings will take place at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday night. There has been some confusion on social media about exactly when the trailer will be shown.

Although some fans and outlets have posted that the trailer will be available online at 6 p.m. ET, NBC reports that it won’t be shown to in-person audiences until the end of the screening. The movie’s runtime is two hours and 40 minutes, which means the trailer will likely premiere closer to 9 p.m. ET.

If you want to be among the first people to see the new trailer, you can check for tickets to a screening near you on the movie’s official website. If you’d rather stay home, be sure to keep an eye on the movie’s YouTube channel and social media accounts so you can catch the trailer when it first premieres.

When Does the Movie Premiere in Theaters?

Wicked: For Good is set to be released in theaters on November 21, 2025. While last year’s movie adapted the musical’s first act, this second part will cover the songs and storylines in Act 2. Cynthia Erivo will be back as Elphaba, with Ariana Grande reprising her role as Glinda.

The subtitle of the new movie is a reference to a song performed by the two leads toward the end of the musical. A poster for the film shows the tagline, “You will be changed.” This is a reference to a lyric in the same song.

The first part of the Wicked series was a huge success, so it’s no surprise that the new movie is already generating a lot of buzz. Both Erivo and Grande were nominated for Oscars earlier this year, although neither of them took home a trophy.
