Heidi Klum Kicks Off ‘Germany’s Next Top Model’ Season 17
Germany’s Next Top Model started its first episode in Athens, Greece, with 31 contestants. Klum was joined by guest judge Kylie Minogue to determine which models should move on to the next round.
The host shared a slideshow of moments from the first episode on Instagram, set to her new song “Chai Tea with Heidi.” As seen in the photos, this season of the show features models of various sizes and ages. The oldest model in the competition is 68 years old. The models wore looks designed by Jasmin Erbas for their first runway show.
In a funny behind-the-scenes moment from the show, Klum can be seen pushing her sunglasses back up her nose over and over again because they keep sliding down. As a bonus, you get to hear the supermodel speak her native language of German.

The Models Head to Mykonos in Week 2
The first episode of GNTM Season 17 ended with three models — Emilie, Meline and Pauline — being eliminated. Twenty-eight contestants remained in the competition as the show moved to Mykonos for its second week.
The second episode of Season 17 aired on Thursday night. Klum shared a video previewing a few notable moments. This week’s photo shoot had the models dressed in white playing tug of war, as captured by photographer Yu Tsai. Klum got in on the fun as well.
The models also took on a risky runway show. They had to walk down a long stone staircase in the wind. A few models can be seen stumbling during the catwalk, making Klum nervous as she watches them. A few others seemed to handle it effortlessly.
At the end of the episode, two models — Kim and Wiebke — were eliminated from the competition, leaving 26 contestants left. The season will continue next Thursday night on ProSieben.
