Zac Efron Supports Brother Dylan on Dancing with the Stars
Tuesday night marked the DWTS Semifinals, as Dylan Efron and his partner Daniella Karagach performed two dance routines for their chance to make it into the finale. Dylan’s older brother, actor Zac Efron, appeared in the audience to cheer him on.
Fans at home couldn’t help but poke fun at Zac’s reaction to Dylan’s first dance, a tango to “I Would Die 4 U” by Prince. When the judges’ scores were announced as adding up to 27 out of 30, Zac turned to his mom and appeared to ask whether it was a good score.
His mom laughed and nodded, prompting Zac to applaud. Fans were quick to joke about Zac’s confusion, with one person writing that he “has no idea where he is.” Someone else remarked, “He’s never seen a single second of this show oh man.”
“Zac not knowing what’s going on when his brother’s been competing for 10 weeks and he’s had multiple friends compete on the show,” someone else remarked.

Did Zac Help His Brother Go to the Finals?
Some fans on social media also joked about the possibility that Zac’s presence in the audience during Tuesday’s Semifinals might have helped Dylan secure a spot in the Season 34 Finals. Despite being at the bottom of the night’s leaderboard, he was announced as a finalist.
One fan on X (formerly Twitter) posted a screenshot of Zac’s Instagram stories, where he encouraged followers to vote for Dylan. They wrote, “Zac did the bare minimum and single-handedly kicked Whitney out of that final and secured it for Dylan. I have to laugh.”
They’re referring to Whitney Leavitt, who was eliminated from the competition in Tuesday’s show alongside partner Mark Ballas, despite their high scores throughout the season. Another X user joked about “Dylan waiting until the semifinals to pull the Zac Efron card to secure his slot in the finale.”
