Former Contestant of ‘The Voice’ Nearly Dies in Stabbing

Season 15 The Voice contestant Tyshawn Colquitt posted an update on Instagram to tell fans about a recent attack. The singer suffered one stab wound to the right side of his neck and one through his cheek on the left side of his face. The details leading up to the attack are not yet clear.

In the clip, Tyshawn is wearing bandages on his face and laying in a hospital bed. In his caption, he opened up to fans about how the stab wounds will leave a scar on his face. He has postponed any photoshoots and music video shoots taking place this month as he recovers from the injuries.
“I just pray i can mentally get thru this i feel the insecurities already coming thru with the new scars,” he wrote.
Once he got to the hospital, Tyshawn was informed that all of the blood he swallowed after the stabbing had filled his stomach. He was put on a new liquid diet for three weeks that he is says he is not a fan of. But he assured fans that he is slowly recovering and in good spirits.
“I had to get a blood transfusion when i got here but now my blood count is great and I’m feeling a whole lot better!!!!!” he wrote.
Tyshawn competed on The Voice in 2018 on Jennifer Hudson’s team. He made it all the way to The Knockouts where he was put up against Franc West. Tyshawn sang “Pillowtalk” by Zayn. Franc was declared the winner of The Knockout and Tyshawn was sent home.
Since his time on The Voice, Tyshawn started a “family-friendly” OnlyFans account. He now offers his fans a free monthly subscritption for exclusive music content. His bio on the adult site says “all proceeds go towards musical expenses.”
