New The Voice coach Riley Green recently surprised a fan when he showed up in person to buy a guitar off Facebook Marketplace. The seller, Shane Allen, posted a photo from his interaction with the country star.

Riley Green recently purchased a Gibson J-45 acoustic guitar from a seller on Facebook Marketplace. Rather than sending someone else to pick it up, Green showed up himself, surprising Florida seller Shane Allen, who posted about the encounter on his own page.
Allen posted a photo of himself posing with Green, who sports a T-shirt and shorts with a backwards baseball cap. They both hold onto the guitar in question as they smile for the camera.
“Didn’t really wanna sell this girl, but thought I would throw it on Marketplace,” Allen wrote of the guitar, adding of Green, “This guy didn’t have to meet up with this regular Joe. Heck he could have sent anybody to buy my guitar!”
When he realized that the country star was the one buying his guitar, Allen wrote that it “made selling it feel a little better.” He added of Green’s future use of the instrument, “I hope to see him throwing them [pick] marks on her soon.”

Green Is a New Coach on The Voice
Riley Green is a new coach on The Voice for Season 30 of the show, which premieres Monday, September 21, on NBC. He’ll be sitting alongside fellow newcomer Queen Latifah, as well as returning coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine.
It was also recently announced that Green will be back for Season 31 of The Voice, which will feature celebrity contestants. He’ll sit on the coaching panel alongside Queen Latifah and new coach Joe Jonas, with Keke Palmer stepping in as the show’s host.
Green’s new album That’s Just Me is out September 18, and the country singer is currently performing on his Cowboy As It Gets tour, with dates lined up into the fall.
