Whitney Leavitt may not have made it to the Dancing with the Stars Season 34 finale, but she has some amazing opportunities on the horizon. It was just announced that Leavitt will be making her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago early next year.
Whitney Leavitt to Make Broadway Debut in Chicago
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt was a standout contestant on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars. Despite her high scores throughout the season, she and her partner Mark Ballas were eliminated in the Semifinals.
On Monday, Leavitt announced that she’ll be making her Broadway debut in the iconic role of Roxie Hart in Chicago, starting February 2, 2026. According to People, the production will be held at New York’s Ambassador Theatre for a limited six-week run, ending on March 15.
One of Leavitt’s best dances on DWTS was a perfectly scored Argentine tango to “Cell Block Tango” from Chicago, so this news is especially fitting. Tickets for Chicago, including the first several days of Leavitt’s upcoming run in the show, are on sale now.

Leavitt, Ballas Shared Their Finale Freestyle
Last week, Leavitt and Ballas were guests on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where they discussed their elimination from DWTS, as well as the hate they’ve received online. They ended their appearance on the show with a performance of what would have been their finale freestyle routine, had they made it that far in the competition.
During the interview, Leavitt teased that she had an exciting announcement on Monday, sharing that one of her and Ballas’ dances on the show would “come to life.” That of course turned out to be her role in Chicago, and the Argentine tango they performed to “Cell Block Tango.”
Leavitt also shared that she recently booked her first movie role. It’s clear that DWTS is not the end of the road for Leavitt as she pursues her dreams.
