‘DWTS’ Pro Cheryl Burke Set To Host Newest Talk Show ‘Diving Deep’
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Shortly after bidding her farewell to Dancing With The Stars, Cheryl Burke announced her newest project, a talk show. This year, the professional dancer is set to host the first season of her diamond painting talk show, Diving Deep.
Cheryl Burke Will Host Vulnerable Sessions on Diving Deep
During her time on national television, Burke has never been secretive about her traumatic past. Over the years, she has faced the consequences of her parents’ divorce, sexual abuse, and uncomfortable relationship with body image. But just as fans thought that she’s opened enough, Burke is now ready to tell more.
“You’ll get to witness the REAL Cheryl behind all the glitz, glamour, and mirrorball trophies that some may have seen me on their television screens now for over a decade,” she wrote.
In the official trailer of Diving Deep, the professional dancer tackles how such disturbing experiences led to her excessive intake of alcohol. She also discusses how diamond painting has helped her process her emotions, serving as her healing outlet. Today, completely sober Burke actively promotes mental health, and Diving Deep is the newest edition to her several advocacy platforms.
Backstreet Boys member AJ Mclean, DWTS Judge Carrie Ann Inaba in the Guest Lineup
Filmed in The Vallavanda Manor in Santa Rosa Valley, California, Diving Deep has invited a number of guests who also willingly opened about their own vulnerabilities. As Burke attempts to host a fruitful interview, she will have a mini diamond painting session with these artists.
Some of these guests are Backstreet Boys member AJ Mclean and The Talk host Amanda Kloots. Meanwhile, DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba, Jack Osbourne, Bling Empire star Kelly Mi Li, Teddi Mellencamp, and Melissa Chataigne will also appear in the talk show.
For those who may not know, Burke has worked on life-centric projects similar to Diving Deep such as podcasts Pretty Messed Up and Burke In The Game.
Last year, the retired DWTS pro has mentioned being “in talks” for a new television show. She’s been dropping subtle hints before, saying that she wants to continue being her “authentic” self on screen. At the time, we’ve speculated that she might be the next star of The Bachelorette due to some coincidental matters.
