Dancing With The Stars judge Bruno Tonioli has recently reflected on the death of fellow judge and good friend Len Goodman. Still in grief of the loss, the British-Italian choreographer opened up about Goodman’s last message to him via email.
Bruno Tonioli Reveals Len Goodman’s Last Email to Him
During his Sept. 1 appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark, the DWTS judge revealed that he’s been made aware of Goodman’s condition way back. Be that as it may, Tonioli respected the legend’s decision to keep it as a secret.
“I knew [he was sick.] He told me,” he said. “I knew well before and he wanted to be completely private and I totally [understand].”
According to Tonioli, despite knowing the situation, he wasn’t expecting his death to happen too soon. He then recalled having received an email from the former head judge regarding his judging stint on Britain’s Got Talent.
“Then it ended with a ‘Thank you,'” he said. “I actually, I can’t [speak about it] because Len would hate doing this. He’d be like, ‘Oh, get up, Bruno. You’re a lucky man and we had a great life. We had a great time, enjoy! Make every day count and have a good time.’ And that’s his spirit, so we have to celebrate him because the life he would want is [that].”
Goodman had died in April at the age of 78. As per his agent Jackie Gill, the head judge “passed away peacefully” after battling bone cancer.
Dancing With The Stars Season 32 Will Have a Three-Person Panel
Amid the upcoming premiere of Dancing With The Stars season 32, fans are also thinking if there will be a new judge for the show. Cheryl Burke had been upfront in her desire to be judge, but the show has apparently taken her offer down.
Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli are all confirmed to return as members of the judging panel. In November, a source told Entertainment Tonight the show likely have a three-person panel for season 32.
Such was made sense by Hough who think that a three-person panel would work favorably for DWTS. As the new head judge, he believes that it will pave way for more flexibility of having guest judges.
“I think this is gonna be it. I think [they are] kind of realizing that three is the right amount. And what’s good about three is that it also allows space for guest judges,” he stated. “But when you have four, we did it last season with Michael Bublé, it was pretty crowded up there. But it was awesome, but it was crowded.”
