Cheryl Burke Shares Heartfelt Goodbye to Her Home of 16 Years

Former Dancing with the Stars pro Cheryl Burke took to Instagram on Thursday to post a goodbye message to her Hollywood Hills home, where she’s lived for the past 16 years. Burke wrote that she’s “excited for this new chapter.”
Cheryl Burke Says Goodbye to Home of 16 Years
“Taking a look back at my home of 16 years, and all of the memories that were made,” Burke wrote in an Instagram post featuring several photos of her in her home over the years. “From my old after party days in my 20s (pre sobriety) to filming a live episode of DWTS with @codyrigsby when I got Covid.”
Burke went on to write that it’s “bittersweet saying goodbye to the house that helped me grow into the woman I am today,” adding that sometimes “we need to recognize when we’ve outgrown a chapter in our life and need to move forward.”
“A bit sad to say goodbye, but excited for this new chapter. Much love,” Burke wrote to close her message, adding a red heart emoji.
The dancer announced her move earlier this week, as she shared some DWTS memorabilia she found while looking through boxes. She added that she’s found a new home and will share a tour of the house soon.

Burke Split from Her Husband Last Year
Burke has gone through several life changes recently. Last February, Burke filed divorce from her husband Matthew Lawrence after less than three years of marriage. The dancer reportedly cited irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalized in September.
Last year also marked Burke’s final season as a pro dancer on Dancing with the Stars. She joined the show in Season 2, earning his first Mirroball with partner Drew Lachey. She won again in Season 3 with partner Emmitt Smith.
Burke also recently celebrated five years of sobriety, writing that her journey is “not always a perpendicular path of progression & like most things in life it comes with rough patches.”
