Last week, Shelton posted a selfie on Instagram in which he poses with American Idol alum Lauren Alaina, who was recently a guest on his TV show Barmageddon. Although Shelton was simply promoting the show’s season finale, some fans started drama in the comments.
“You’re going to lose your wife. Gwen is trusting you!” wrote one commenter, while another wrote, “Gwen did a mistake trusting you.” Another commenter told Shelton, “You need to start spending time with your wife before you lose her.”
Some fans went in a different, but equally strange direction by talking about wanting Shelton and Alaina to date — ignoring the fact that she’s engaged to Cam Arnold. As one commenter wrote, “Y’all would make a good couple.”

Why Do Fans Think the Couple Is Divorcing?
There are several reasons fans think that Shelton and Stefani’s marriage might be in trouble, starting with the fact that they spent New Year’s Eve apart. Stefani performed in Las Vegas, while Shelton took the stage in Nashville.
According to The Sun, Stefani has also apparently deleted posts featuring Shelton from her Instagram account. Fans took note of this and asked the singer about it in the comments of a recent video, with one writing, “What happened to all the videos of you and Blake?”
Shelton has also failed to post about Stefani’s recent announcement that she and her band No Doubt will be reuniting for Coachella. Earlier this month, a source told Life & Style that Shelton and Stefani are “leading separate lives.”
