Derek Hough, Hayley Erbert Want to Have Babies Now, Thanks to Val Chmerkovskiy

For Dancing With The Stars real-life couple Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert, having babies is still far from the original plan. However, it seems that the pair wants to rush things a few things after fellow dancer Val Chmerkovskiy shared a few words.
Derek Hough, Hayley Erbert Move Up Timeline for Having Babies
The two recently enjoyed a hangout session with DWTS friends Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson, poking their interest in expanding their family sooner. Erbert and Hough have been convinced that having kids earlier would be a good idea.
“There wasn’t a rush on [having kids] until we just met Val and Jenna Chmerkovskiy’s baby, and that was when it was kind of like, ‘So should we get on this now?'” he said.
Chmerkovskiy apparently told them that a baby will be their “ultimate creation” should they proceed with having one. According to Hough, their recent conversation wasn’t anything serious, but rather cool. Nonetheless, the pro-turned-judge admitted that Chmerkovskiy’s words made them consider. For Erbert however, embarking on a tour and getting married first are still the top priority.
“Hopefully we’ll go on tour first, get married, or married first and who knows, whenever the date happens but then we’ll get on it,” she said.
Hough and Erbert first met in 2014 when Hough’s sister Julianne hired Erbert to dance on tour with them. Erbert joined the cast of DWTS one year later, and two years after that, the two announced that they are romantically together.
He Says Their Wedding Will Be a “Full-On Festival”
The couple announced their engagement on June 2, 2022, making the day as the “beginning of their forever.” Since then, there have been a lot of questions regarding their upcoming wedding.
Looking ahead, Hough highlighted that he and Erbert will not be performing as intensely as their usual acts. Rather, they intend to just “enjoy the night.”
“We’ll be dancing. Don’t you worry. We just won’t be performing,” Erbert said.
As per their place of celebration, the couple thinks it’s important to secure a spot where everybody they love will gather together. Hough also envisions fireworks, explosions, pyrotechnics during their special day.
Reportedly, the DWTS judge has also sent invitations to various performers. Thus, it goes without saying that the ceremony will be a “full-on festival.”
