BIO: Morgan Wallen is a country singer that rose to fame as a contestant on The Voice season six. The singer was originally a part of Usher’s Team, but finished the series out on Adam Levine’s Team. Wallen was eliminated in the playoffs, then signed to Panacea Records. He released his debut EP Stand Alone in 2015.
Wallen signed with Big Loud in 2016, and released his debut album, If I Know Me in 2018. Soon after, the singer released his second album Dangerous: The Deluxe Album in 2021. In 2023, Wallen released his third studio album, One Thing At a Time.
In 2021, TMZ released a video of Wallen using a racial slur after a night out with friends in Nashville. The singer apologized for using the racial slur at the time. Due to the incident, various radio companies removed Wallen’s music from airplay, and his album’s promotional content was also removed from Apple Music, Pandora, and Spotify. In addition, CMT and Country Music Association removed Wallen’s appearance from their platforms; Big Loud also suspended their recording contract with Wallen at this time. Even though controversy came about from this situation, Wallen’s album became 2021’s best selling album.
