Luc Arbogast gave The Voice France coaches the biggest shock of a lifetime during his Blind Audition in 2013. They never expected such an angelic operatic tone to come out of the singer dressed in medieval garb. Luc sang an original song called “Cancion Sefaradi” and played the Irish Bouzouki. Check out his unique audition below.

Luc Arbogast Shocked The Coaches On ‘The Voice France’

Immediately once Luc started singing during his Blind Audition, the coaches all had their jaws on the floor. Florent Pagny was the first coach to turn his chair and was definitely surprised to see Luc singing the graceful tune. Louis Bertignac and Garou were next to turn their chairs. Jenifer was so curious to see the performance up on the stage and turned her chair, making this a four-chair turn.

After the performance, Luc explained how the song is a mixture of languages such as Latin, Arabic and Hebrew. At the time of his audition on The Voice France, Luc had been performing this style of music for over 17 years. He shockingly chose to be on Team Jenifer. He went up against Thomas Vaccari in The Battles singing “Mad World.” The coaches were eager to see how he could take on a different style of music. Luc was chosen as the winner of The Battle.

During the Live Shows, Luc sang “Adagio d’Albinoni.” You could hear a pin drop during this performance because everyone was laser-focused on Luc’s gorgeous voice. He was eliminated from the competition after this performance which many felt was way too early on.

Where Is Luc Now?

After competing on The Voice France, Luc was signed to Mercury Records. He released an album called Odysseus that same year. It topped the SNEP French Albums Chart immediately after its release. Luc released another album called Oreflam in 2014 which also performed well on the charts. The same was the case with his 2016 Metamorphosis album. He grew a huge fan base after appearing on the show that continues to support his original music today.

Respect!” wrote one fan. “CAN WE TALK ABOUT HIS VOCAL RANGE PLEASE!?” another asked.

Luc has continued to play socially distanced shows amid the coronavirus pandemic. His loyal fans are still in love with the wide range of his voice because he can literally sing anything. You can listen to his enchanting music on Spotify here.
