Mohamed Belkhir otherwise known by his stage name MB14 is a rapper and beatboxer that completely took The Voice France by storm. He used a beatbox loopstation to literally create his own track on stage during his season five audition. Check out his rendition of “Gangsta’s Paradise” by Coolio below.
MB14 Brought Beatboxing To ‘The Voice France’
At first when MB14 began making his beat, the coaches were all very intrigued. They quickly realized that the beatboxer was making his own beats just by using his mouth and looping them to make one continuous track. He began rapping along with singing showing a great variety in his range. Three coaches turned their chairs for him but he ultimately decided to be a member of Team Zazie.

During the Battle Round, MB14 went head to head against Derya Yildirim singing Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me A River.” He showed off how versatile he is being able to sing a song that is a completely different genre than the one he sang during his audition. He ended up winning the battle.
Further down the line, he was stolen by coach Mika and became a member of his team. He later performed a groundbreaking rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody” where he mimicked the sounds an electric guitar with his mouth.
In the finale, MB14 took on the song “In The Air Tonight.” He of course brought out his looper machine to create the signature drum track for the song using only his mouth. The coaches could not wipe the smiles off of their faces during his performance that will literally give you chills.
MB14 actually finished the competition as the runner up, losing out on the title to Slimane Nebchi. However, his audition did end up going viral with over 68 million views since it was posted in 2016.
Where Is This Incredible Beatboxer Now?
After appearing on The Voice France, MB14 reached the semi-finals of the Grand Beatbox Battle in 2016 and 2017 using his loopstation. He later became a judge for the loopstation category of the competition in Warsaw, Poland.
He released an album called “BERYWAM” in 2017 under Universal Music Group with a beatboxing group of the same name. He eventually left the group before they want on to audition for season 14 of America’s Got Talent. He also put out two newer singles called “Beriddim” and “Pacifique” in 2020. He then posted his own beatbox cover of “Cry Me A River,” the same song he performed during the Battle Round on The Voice France.
MB14 continues to update his Youtube channel with awesome beatboxing videos and raps. He currently has 769,000 subscribers and recently released an EP called “Ambitus.”
