Over the past decade, Chrissy Teigen has become known as the queen of Twitter with her epic comebacks and fun recipe videos. But after 10 years, she has decided to quit posting on the platform entirely which has the entire world seriously freaking out.
If you search up Chrissy’s profile on Twitter, you will see that all of her iconic tweets are completely gone. Before quitting Twitter, Chrissy posted a few tweets to explain her reasoning behind the big decision.
“Hey. For over 10 years, you guys have been my world. I honestly owe so much to this world we have created here. I truly consider so many of you my actual friends,” she wrote.
“But it’s time for me to say goodbye. This no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think that’s the right time to call something,” Chrissy continued.
“My life goal is to make people happy. The pain I feel when I don’t is too much for me. I’ve always been portrayed as the strong clap back girl but I’m just not,” she wrote.

“My desire to be liked and fear of pissing people off has made me somebody you didn’t sign up for, and a different human than I started out here as! Live well, tweeters. Please know all I ever cared about was you!!!” she added.
Chrissy acknowledged that she has “said f*cked up sh*t and killed myself over it as much as you killed me. But one thing I haven’t learned is how to block out the negativity.” After Chrissy posted these tweets, they then disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Wow. Chrissy Teigen has left the Twitters.
She always caught an unreal amount of super hostile shit from trolls. Doesn’t matter who you are, no one’s armor is a complete defense. pic.twitter.com/SVE3yX5lgv
I will miss Chrissy Teigen, one of the few famous people I followed. I can't even imagine how soul sucking it is to be a famous person and actually read your replies. I applaud her decision to leave this platform to protect her mental health. pic.twitter.com/cWDaNPeXay
Chrissy Faced Criticism For Her New Business Venture
Just before deleting her Twitter account, Chrissy received major backlash for announcing a new project. She and Kris Jenner released a line of plant-based cleaning products called Safely. There were mixed opinions about this business venture and people were not shy to express why they felt like it was a bit tone-deaf.
“Apparently @chrissyteigen and @KrisJenner have teamed up to create a line of household cleaning products as if either of them has ever cleaned a home?” one Twitter user wrote.

“Chrissy, I’m a big fan, but maybe listen to those of us feeling like this is sort of icky. Collaborating with the Kardashians, master manipulators who literally represent excess and being tone-deaf, on an expensive cleaning product during a pandemic feels a little off” another Twitter user wrote.
Chrissy had previously taken a social media hiatus in November after losing her and John Legend’s third child, Jack. She was 20 weeks pregnant and suffered bleeding and placenta issues throughout the pregnancy. At the time she posted several shots from that horrifying day and explained how she was feeling “deep pain” after suffering such a tragic loss. Chrissy and John are parents to Luna, 4 and Miles, 2 who were conceived through IVF.
Chrissy opened up about her heartache and grieving process on Twitter. Her candidness is one of the many reasons why fans fell in love with her. In the meantime, you can stay up to date on Chrissy’s life over on her Instagram account.
