Chrissy Teigen’s Mother Tearfully Mourns Loss Of Grandchild After Pregnancy Complications

Chrissy Teigen’s mother Vilailuck Teigen posted a devastating Instagram post after Chrissy and husband John Legend lost their third child. Pregnant Chrissy was taken Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after experiencing bleeding which led to further complications. The pair posted heartbreaking images and shared their tragic news with the world.
Vilailuck Teigen Shares Post About Chrissy Teigen And John Legend’s Lost Child
Vilailuck posted on Instagram saying her final goodbyes to the baby. “My heart aches love you so much baby Jack,” she captioned the post. She also included the hashtag “สู่สุขตินะลูก,” which translates from Thai to English as, “To happiness.” In the first video she posted, doctors are holding the baby up to her and you can hear Chrissy in the background saying “you can touch him if you want.” Vilailuck proceeded to touch the baby through tears and say a little prayer for him.
Vilailuck has maintained a very close relationship with her daughter and her grandkids. She even lives with them in John and Chrissy’s house and you could tell that this was such a devastating moment for her.

She put up her hands in a prayer motion during this extremely emotional moment. In the other two pictures she cradled the baby whom the family began calling Jack. In an Instagram post, Chrissy wrote “We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital.” She continued “But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”
Chrissy Previously Opened Up To The World About This Loss
In a post on Instagram, the couple shared black and white images from the night they lost the baby. “We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before” the cookbook author captioned the post. “We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.” Earlier this week, Chrissy said her placenta was “really, really weak.”
This pregnancy was a surprise to her because she did not think she could conceive naturally. The Voice coach and the model’s other children Luna and Miles were both conceived through IVF. She had been going through a rough patch with this pregnancy over the course of the week. On Monday, she had updated fans saying that she was in the “danger zone.” The next day she said she had “huge clot, almost save-worthy.” On Wednesday her world shifted when she announced that she had lost the baby.

Now more than ever it’s important for Chrissy to know that the world is rallying around her and John because no mother ever wants to experience this kind of pain.
