Cheryl Burke Reacts to Kissing Derek Hough on ‘DWTS’

Longtime Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Cheryl Burke has a series of TikTok videos in which she reacts to past performances on the show. That includes one routine with fellow pro Derek Hough that featured a kiss.
Cheryl Burke Says Kissing Derek Hough Was Like Kissing her Brother
Back in August, Burke shared a reaction video to a Jive she did with former pro dancer (and current judge) Derek Hough. She admitted that Jive is not her favorite dance, but said it’s “so great on Derek.” Burke also said the show’s budget was bigger then, so they managed to get a vintage car in the ballroom.
Burke said Hough is “like my brother.” This made it a “kind of weird” to kiss him during this performance. She shared that they “didn’t really go full-out on the kissing as far as rehearsal goes.” Burke added that they “didn’t have much time” to put the dance together.
She explained that the viewers voted for which pro dancers they wanted to see perform, and they chose her and Hough. As Burke wrote in the video’s caption, “Love you all and thanks again!”

Burke Reacts to Other Dances From the Show
Burke has reacted to plenty of other dances from her time on the show, including the one where she had a slight wardrobe malfunction while dancing with William Levy in Season 14. Her mic pack fell out of her costume, and Burke joked that it looked like her breast came out.
She also reacted to her very first dance on the show back in 2006. Burke was partnered with Drew Lachey, and they danced the Cha Cha to “She Bangs” by Ricky Martin. She described it as a “solid routine.” They ended up winning that season.
More recently, Burke reacted to another Cha Cha with Rob Kardashian from Season 13 of the show. She noticed that she and Kardashian had “some hot chemistry” but admitted that she’s “not his type, clearly.” Burke said she has “nothing but great memories with Rob.”
