‘Canada’s Got Talent’ Judge Lilly Singh Explains New “Audiobook Mixtape” ‘Be a Triangle’

Canada’s Got Talent judge Lilly Singh is releasing a new book called Be a Triangle, and she recently stopped by Good Morning America to talk about the meaning behind the title. The comedian also put out an “audiobook mixtape” to go along with the release.
Lilly Singh Talks New Book ‘Be a Triangle’
The subtitle of Singh’s new book is How I Went from Being Lost to Getting My Life into Shape. It’s not her first book. In 2017, she released How to Be a Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life. Singh told GMA‘s Michael Strahan that the key to creation is “liberating yourself.”
Singh also shared the meaning behind the new book’s title, saying she “felt pretty lost” when she was working on the project, and she needed a “strong foundation.” She explained that she searched the phrase online and learned that a triangle “is the shape with structurally the strongest foundation.”
“And I thought, that’s how I want to build my life,” Singh said. “I want to be a triangle so all my life experiences can pile up on this strong foundation.”
In the book, Singh writes about allowing ourselves to “embrace change” and realize that “we don’t have to have one definition of success our whole life.”

Singh Releases Audiobook Mixtape
Singh came up with the term “audiobook mixtape” for what is basically a music video featuring words from the introduction of her new book. She finishes the video by teasing the “four things” readers need to know to build their own triangle. But we’ll have to read the book to find out what they are.
In her GMA interview, Singh admitted that the mixtape is “weird,” but said making it was about “letting myself be free spiritually.”
“Thank you to my entire team for making this beast of a project come to life,” Singh wrote on Instagram. “Not only did they bring my vision into reality but we shot the entire video so it would visually play on both YouTube and Instagram. You don’t miss any visuals by watching vertically on your phone. We out here.”
