‘BGT’ Star Molly Rainford Announces Engagement to Boyfriend Tyler West

Former Britain’s Got Talent star Molly Rainford announced her engagement on social media this week. Her boyfriend Tyler West proposed to her during a romantic trip to Mykonos, Greece. Rainford competed on BGT when she was just 11 years old.

Earlier this week, TV and radio presenter Tyler West posted a video of his proposal to Molly Rainford in Mykonos. In the clip, the couple can be seen posing for photos around sunset. At one point, the photographer tells Rainford to turn around. That’s when she sees that West has gotten down on one knee.
Although initially shocked by the proposal, Rainford ultimately says yes to marrying West, who asks her to “continue making me the luckiest man on this earth, like you do every single day.” After accepting, Rainford can be hear saying in disbelief, “It’s not real.”
Rainford also posted a series of photos from the proposal, writing, “Honestly can’t tell you how grateful we are for all of your kind messages and wishes. It means the world. Sending you all our love.”
West and Rainford met while they were both competing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2022. Rainford finished the competition as the runner-up, while West finished in eighth place.

Rainford Competed on BGT at 11 Years Old
Rainford competed on Series 6 of Britain’s Got Talent when she was just 11 years old, showing off a beautiful voice. Her talent carried her to the Finals, finishing the competition in sixth place and signing with Sony Music.
In 2014, Rainford became a presenter on the CBBC children’s program Friday Download. Beginning in 2021, she starred in the CBBC series Nova Jones as the title character. Rainford was cast on the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders in 2023.
Rainford has also released two EPs — Commitment in 2019 and Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) in 2020. Her most recent single, a collaboration with Alex Kirsch called “My Heart Is a Broken Record,” was released in 2023.
