Ariana Grande is the latest artist to part ways with manager Scooter Braun, following news that Demi Lovato had “amicably” cut ties with him. Grande has reportedly split from Braun’s company SB Projects after 10 years.

News that Grande was cutting ties with Braun was first reported by Matthew Belloni of Puck. Sources close to the situation have since confirmed the report to Billboard. Reps for Grande and Braun declined to comment.

Grande has worked with Braun since she kicked off her post-Nickelodeon music career with the 2013 album Yours Truly. She’s since released five more albums, most recently Positions in 2020. The singer recently announced that she’s marking the 10th anniversary of Yours Truly with a deluxe release and live performances.

As for Demi Lovato, the singer’s split from Braun is said to have been “mutual and amicable.” Lovato has yet to sign with new management. They’re planning to release a new album called Revamped, which re-imagines their biggest hits as rock songs.

Justin Bieber Denies Rumors He’s Leaving Braun

Lovato and Grande aren’t the only artists who are rumored to be parting ways with Braun. Matthew Belloni also recently reported that Justin Bieber was thinking about leaving SB Projects, writing that he and Braun “haven’t talked in months.”

However, representatives for both Bieber and Braun told Billboard that these “rumors” were “not true.” Still, Braun lost yet another artist earlier this year, when J Balvin (who signed with Braun in 2019) left in May. Balvin is now managed by Roc Nation.

Braun has been the subject of controversy regarding his feud with Taylor Swift over ownership of the masters of her first six albums. This began after Braun purchased Big Machine Records in 2019. Swift has since started the process of re-recording those albums.
