“Breathing new life into the songs that played such a huge role in my career has allowed me to feel so much closer to my music than ever before,” Lovato wrote of their upcoming album on Instagram, sharing that it will be released September 15.
However, fans don’t have to wait that long to get a taste of the new project. Lovato has already released a few tracks from the album, including 2015’s “Cool for the Summer” and 2013’s “Heart Attack.” On Friday, the singer added a third song to the list.
Lovato has released the rock version of their 2017 song “Sorry Not Sorry,” featuring Slash. This new rendition of the song features some fierce electric guitar and powerhouse vocals.
The singer told Rolling Stone that she’s known Slash for “several years,” adding, “When we were thinking about who would sound fucking rad on this song, there’s only one person that came to mind, and that was Slash.”

Lovato’s Concert Tour Inspired the New Project
Lovato told Rolling Stone that they were inspired to record the new album after touring for their rock album Holy Fvck. During the tour, Lovato performed new arrangements of older songs to fit with the style of their newer music.
“How am I going to play ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ next to ‘Skin of My Teeth’?” Lovato said of their decision to rework her old music. “The fans loved it. When I got home from tour, I was like, ‘Why don’t I just record those versions and release them?'”
Revamped will reportedly feature 10 tracks, including some of Lovato’s most popular songs. Although the full tracklist hasn’t been revealed yet, Lovato did reveal that it will include rock versions of “Tell Me You Love Me” and “Give Your Heart a Break.”
