Laine Hardy wins “American Idol” 2019.
Laine Hardy’s ‘American Idol’ Journey
Laine had quite the journey to the American Idol title. He first appeared on Season 16 of the show, but was eliminated in the Top 50. For Season 17, he accompanied his friend Ashton Gill to play guitar during her audition. The judges encouraged him to sing and ended up offering both him and Ashton a golden ticket to Hollywood.
This time, Laine changed up his musical style, stage presence, and fashion sense, which impressed the judges and carried him all the way to the finale. He and Alejandro Aranda were the last two standing. Although Alejandro had plenty of hype ever since his audition, Laine was crowned the winner.
