‘American Idol’ Awards Its First Golden Ticket On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Last week during the American Music Awards people got to pick from three contestants, (Maris, Dominique Smith, and Britney Holmes), that were initially eliminated from auditions for a second chance. American Idol judge Lionel Richie was on hand to announce the winner during Dancing with the Stars.
The winner of the vote was Britney Holmes from my home state of Texas. She was Katy Perry’s pick to win and it’s easy to see why. she’s definitely got some chops. This is all just a sneak peek into what we can expect in March when American Idol returns. You have to think if these three were the ones that did not make it through auditions, imagine the people who did.
This is all building the anticipation for what’s to come even more than before. I think the new American Idol, if these three are any indication, may give The Voice a run for its money.
