Alesha Dixon on losing confidence
Alesha Dixon, who we now all know and love, didn’t start out as the confident spark we see on our screens every week. Dixon recently spoke to The Mirror, discussing her struggles with confidence in herself when she was younger.
“At school I was a contradiction. Outwardly, I was a confident, brave individual who went for it and was unafraid. But inside, I always had a niggle in my brain, moments of self-doubt which made me question my abilities.”

Got Talent wasn’t the first show Alesha has sat as a judge on. She also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, where she made her TV judging debut. Alesha was uncertain of her capabilities when it came to this huge role on a primetime TV show.
“I felt quite down but eventually I was able to make myself look at the bigger picture. I had to tell myself I wouldn’t have been offered the job if I wasn’t capable, and I ended up having the best three years – it’s one of the best jobs of my life.

It seems Dixon has broken out the bubble of insecurity as she now takes on the new challenge of ‘The Champions’ in the US. Dixon recently spoke to Talent Recap and discussed the differences between AGT & BGT and why she is keen on making this the start of a new career in the US.
Alesha Dixon reveals Simon Cowell’s most annoying trait
Dixon isn’t new to Simon Cowell one bit, although this is the first time they feature on AGT together, they’ve both worked alongside each other on the British version. Dixon revealed what Simon’s most annoying trait is, and it’s not what you expect!
“There isn’t a day that goes past on the auditions without Simon meowing or making cat noises. It’s his own little joke that only he’s in on and only he finds funny.”
