What to Expect from Evvie McKinney and Zhavia on ‘The Four’ Comeback
The highly anticipated Comeback episode of The Four finally airs tonight! After weeks of voting, eight former contestants will come back to the show to try to earn a seat in the Finale next week. Plus, we’ll see a special performance by Evvie McKinney and Zhavia from Season One! Here’s what we can expect from tonight’s exciting homecoming for Evvie and Zhavia.
Evvie and Zhavia will be performing on the show tonight, we know that much. They will take the stage together during the opening number, “I Want You Back” by The Jackson Five. Zhavia took the same stage at this time just last season to challenge her way back into The Four!
Both women have been busy since their appearances on the show! Evvie now has a record deal with Republic Records and Zhavia has one with Columbia Records. They are both working on releasing new music too! Evvie has even hinted at a big announcement, which we anticipate will probably be the release of her first single! This episode would be a great platform to make the announcement. The promos have been building up to it for weeks! Plus, we’ve heard the judges say a number of times that these will be “the best challenges of the season.”
Zhavia will also be releasing her first single tonight, “Candlelight,” right when the show begins at 8pm EST. To celebrate, she is hosting a viewing party of the episode with about 50 fans, which was organized by her record label. Zhavia has already has a taste of success and stardom though! She was featured in a song with Diplo, French Montana, and Lil Pump, “Welcome to the Party,” from the Deadpool 2 soundtrack. Zhavia has also mentioned that she is working on a full EP, which will be released soon.
The show has an interesting balance to maintain because Evvie was the winner of Season One, but Zhavia was a clear fan favorite too. Evvie has guaranteed airplay on iHeartRadio as part of her prize. which is a huge win for her. She also has the backing of Republic Records, who also manages Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Drake, and many more. But at the same time, the fans clearly love Zhavia and want more for her. This is giving me flashbacks to when Jennifer Hudson didn’t win Idol, but they still use her as an example of what the show can do for singers.
Either way, I don’t think Evvie and Zhavia are going anywhere anytime soon! Hopefully The Four continues to give them the support and airtime they deserve as well. And tonight during the Comebacks is just the start of that! Evvie even mentioned in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that her ultimate dream collab would have to be with Diddy. I say let’s make it happen already!
