America’s Got Talent has officially concluded auditions for Season 21. Since Nene Royal’s audition aired, there’s no denying that she’s gone insanely viral for her incredible audition. Here’s everything to know about her.
Nene Royal’s AGT Audition Goes Viral
During the fifth audition episode of America’s Got TalentSeason 21, soft-spoken teenager, Nene Royal took the stage. Nene admitted that she was nervous since the stage was the biggest she’d ever seen and had travelled all the way from Thailand.
Luckily, Nene’s nerves didn’t stop her from impressing the judges. She performed a rendition of “Zombie” by Cranberries in her audition. Judges loved this performance, calling her a rockstar. They were jaw dropped by the fact that her vocal control was so good for her age.
After Nene’s audition, it was revealed that she had even more stress going into this audition. Allegedly, Nene’s father sold off their family assets just to be able to finance their trip from Thailand to California.
Everything to Know About Nene
The most interesting fact of all about Nene is the fact that she’s entirely self taught. According to her website, she taught herself how to rock via online videos. Additionally, America’s Got Talent isn’t her first competition. Nene was was runner up at the Overdrive Guitar Contest, was recognized as an Outstanding Player at the King Power Band Competition, and has appeared on TV program Super 10.
Alongside competing on America’s Got Talent, Nene is focused on establishing herself as a recording artist. She is currently writing and recording music that combines rock, alternative, and metal influences. She’s even sponsored by Enya Music, who also sponsors AGT alum Feng E!
Earlier this year, Nene released an original song, “Real Verse.” Nene’s guitar playing and composition is incredible in this song. It truly solidified just how talented she is at only 16 years old!
