Will Fergie Be The Next Judge On ‘American Idol’?
AVON ABC’s reboot of the classic singing competition, American Idol, has already started holding auditions all over the country for the next big musical sensation. So, far the only judge that has definitely signed on is Katy Perry, (Ryan Seacrest will also return to hosting duties). Rumor has it that the next judge to be announced will be former Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie.

She didn’t really do much to dispel these rumors. When Fergie was asked about the possibility of her pulling up a chair at the judges table by Entertainment Tonight Canada she said, “My lips are sealed. Completely sealed.” Hmm, sounds suspicious. If she wasn’t in talks with the show why would she act so cagey? Fergie would just deny it if there was no truth to it, right? Maybe she signed an NDA or has been advised by her lawyers to keep her mouth shut. Unless, of course, she’s just messing with us, which is possible too.
Still, a panel with Katy Perry and Fergie would be pretty epic. We already know that Simon Cowell will not return. He’s one like 25,000 other shows already. We’ll keep our ear to the ground to see if anything comes out about Fergie joining Idol.
