‘The Voice’ Sneak Peek Features Gay Couple Auditioning as a Duo
Duos on The Voice are always so much fun to watch. And guess what? The new sneak peek of tomorrow’s episode reveals we have one coming our way this season!
OneUp – consisting of two singers named Adam and Jerome, who are also a couple – performed a cover of “Could It Be I’m Falling In Love” by the Spinners. The song was well-received by the coaches and got them three chair-turns – all in a row – from Blake Shelton, Jennifer Hudson, and Kelly Clarkson.
After the performance, the pair revealed their romance to the coaches and explained that they wanted to continue performing Mowtown music throughout the competition and their careers as artists, calling the genre “timeless”.
Kelly was very moved by the couple’s story and performance, commenting that “In a time in this country where it’s so divisive, this is such a beautiful thing. It is proof that in this country, love is limitless … It’s the most beautiful thing that’s happened to me this season.”
We’ll have to wait until tomorrow night to see which coach’s Adam and Jerome choose to be on, but whoever gets them will have a great asset on their team. While I’m sure certain demographics won’t be too happy about OneUp‘s participation on the show, I think a lot of viewers are going to fall in love with both their voices and just them as a couple in general.
You can check out the clip of their audition below, and find out who they chose as their coach when the latest episode of The Voice airs at 8/7c on NBC tomorrow night.
