Val Chmerkovskiy Spends His First Father’s Day in the Hospital

Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy unfortunately spent his first Father’s Day as a dad in the hospital. He apparently wasn’t feeling well after performing with his wife Jenna Johnson in Napa, California.
Val Chmerkovskiy Hospitalized on Father’s Day
Val and his brother Maksim have recently been performing a wine-themed show in Napa. On Sunday, Maksim was unable to perform because his wife Peta Murgatroyd was in labor with their second child. So Val’s wife Jenna Johnson filled in.
After the couple performed together, Val ended up in the hospital. Johnson posted a video of her husband on Instagram in which he can be seen lying in a hospital bed and smiling at the camera. Johnson wrote, “LOL. His first Father’s Day continues with more adventure…”
In January, the couple welcomed their first child together, a son named Rome. This was Val’s first year celebrating Father’s Day as a dad himself. Unfortunately, it looks like he wasn’t feeling very well.
The dancer reposted his wife’s Instagram video on his own stories, writing, “I’m all good! Thank you to everyone that came out to see us today! I gave it everything I got. Now I just need to get some back.”

The Dancer Celebrated His Nephew’s Birth
Val’s brother Maksim became a dad for the second time on Sunday, as his wife Peta Murgatroyd gave birth to a baby boy. The couple already has a 6-year-old son named Shai. They have yet to reveal their newborn’s name.
After Maksim posted a photo of himself holding his baby son on Instagram, Val reposted the shot on his stories and added three red heart emojis. He also commented with three hearts on the post itself, while Johnson wrote, “We love him so much.”
Johnson also posted Maksim’s photo on her Instagram stories, writing, “New nephew. Congratulations @petamurgatroyd and @maksimc on your beautiful baby boy!!!”
