Over decades, we’ve seen numerous auditions on America’s Got Talent. Admittedly, many acts have managed to impress and entertain. Yet, there were particular others which seem to be exceptional and unforgettable.

1. Darci Lynne, Season 12
Darci Lynne graced the stage of America’s Got Talent as a young singing ventriloquist. During her audition, she sang George Gershwin’s “Summertime” with her puppet, Petunia. Lynne’s audition has become no less than ordinary as she’s proven that there are still kids that are enthusiastic over ventriloquism.
2. Tyler Butler Figueroa, Season 14
Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, Tyler Butler Figueroa is a violinist who joined AGT back in 2019. His audition consisted of playing Kelly Clarkson‘s “Stronger.” Such sensational performance urged Simon Cowell to press his Golden Buzzer, sending Figueroa straight to the Quarterfinals.
3. Celine Tam, Season 12
Perhaps no AGT fan will ever forget the adorable Celine Tam. With her unbelievable vocals at only nine years old, she belted out Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.” Her talent and charisma effortlessly sent her to the Judge Cuts.
4. World Taekwondo Demonstration Team, Season 16
Bringing the goal to promote Taekwondo across the world, World Taekwondo Demonstration Team joined AGT in 2021. Their audition consisted of performing a phenomenal martial arts routine. It’s thus no surprise that Terry Crews was then convinced to press his Golden Buzzer for the group.
5. Sacred Riana, Season 13
Marie Antoinette Riana Graharani, otherwise known as Sacred Riana, was an illusionist from Indonesia. During her audition, she executed a horror-influenced act, telling a story about suspected suicide victims in a murder case. Simon Cowell buzzed the act, but the rest of the judges said “Yes,” thus sending her to the next round.
6. Grace Vanderwaal, Season 11
Grace Vanderwaal joined AGT in 2016 as a singer and ukulele player. Her cute and shy demeanor easily attracted fans, most especially when she sang her original song “I Don’t Know My Name.” After her performance, Cowell stated that she could become “the next Taylor Swift.”
7. Shin Lim, Season 13
Self-proclaimed “sleight of hand artist,” Shin Lim stepped on AGT as a close-up magician. During his audition, he performed a card routine with the assistance of host Tyra Banks. After creating mind-blowing illusions, all members of the panel sent him to the next round of the competition.
8. Kodi Lee, Season 14
Diagnosed with blindness and autism, Kodi Lee is a musical prodigious savant who joined the series in 2019. In his audition, he belted out Leon Russell’s “A Song For You” while playing the piano. Touched by the performance, Gabrielle Union pressed her Golden Buzzer, thus sending him straight to the Quarterfinals.
9. Putri Ariani, Season 18
Putri Ariani graced the stage of AGT as a blind singer and pianist from Indonesia. During her audition, her original song “Loneliness” while playing the piano. She subsequently performed Elton John’s “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word” as per Cowell’s request. Convinced by her performance, the music mogul hit his Golden Buzzer.
10. Nightbirde, Season 16
Hailing from Zanesville, Ohio, Jane Marczewski, also known as Nightbirde, was a singer from AGT 2021. In her audition, she revealed that she was battling cancer but nonetheless going on with life. She then sang her original song “It’s Okay,” prompting Cowell to press his Golden Buzzer.
