Connor Christian (Team Blake)
This singer grew up with a music-loving dad, and currently works as a tennis coach. For his audition, Connor sang “Bright Lights” by Gary Clark Jr. while playing guitar.
Blake was the first coach to turn around, followed by Nick and Kelly. Kelly said Connor is “in a lane all by yourself.” Blake said he had “complete control of the stage.” Connor chose to join Team Blake.
This 17-year-old singer loves Motown music, and performed at Carnegie Hall with her school choir. For her audition, she sang “If You Really Love Me” by Stevie Wonder.
Unfortunately, Kaitlyn didn’t turn any coaches’ chairs. Kelly was shocked when she saw Kaitlyn, saying, “That sound just came out of you?!” Nick encouraged her to keep trying, saying she has “so much potential.”
Bradley Sinclair (Team Nick)
This singer performed in musicals during high school. He worked for Apple for a year before deciding to move to Nashville and pursue music. For his audition, he sang “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur.
Kelly was the first coach to turn around for Bradley, followed by Nick. Nick said he has “an amazing foundation.” Kelly said she loved the “passion” in his voice. Bradley chose to join Team Nick.
Gihanna Zoe (Team Kelly)
This singer performed “She Used to Be Mine” by Sara Bareilles for her blind audition. Kelly was the first to turn around, followed by Nick. Kelly said she could help her with strategy since she’s been on a talent show herself. Nick said she sounds like she’s been singing for a long time. Gihanna chose to join Team Kelly.
JD Casper (Team Kelly)
This singer comes from a military family, and joined the Navy. He’s recently been gigging at bars. For his audition, he played both a guitar and a drum while singing “How to Save a Life” by The Fray.
Kelly was the only coach to turn around, so JD automatically joined her team. She said she loved the song, and thought JD made it his own, adding that he’s the “total package.” She was excited to get someone as cool as him on her team.
Deion Warren (Team Legend)
This singer grew up in an underprivileged area, and works as a probation officer. For his audition, Deion performed “Shallow” by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Kelly and John were the first coaches to turn around, followed by Nick.
Blake said he didn’t turn because he promised another artist he wouldn’t add anyone in the same lane as them. John said Deion showed “musicianship” and “artistry.” Kelly said he was “the perfect vessel” for the song. Deion chose to join Team Legend.
