‘The Voice’ Battles Continue as Adam Levine Steals John Legend’s Artist

Reading Time: 3 minutes
The Voice Season 27 returned on Monday night for another round of Battles, as the coaches paired up even more of their artists to determine who should move on to the Knockouts. During the show, Adam Levine stole John Legend’s artist, and two other coaches used their saves.
Adam Levine Steals John Legend’s Artist in The Voice Battles
Ahead of Monday’s new episode, The Voice shared an early release clip of a Battle on Team Legend, featuring Ari Camille and four-chair turn Bryson Battle. They teamed up to perform “Made for Me” by Muni Long, showing off their powerhouse voices.
As we saw when the episode aired, Legend was faced with a difficult choice, but he ultimately decided to keep Bryson on his team in the Knockouts. Since Legend already used his save last week to keep Nell Simmons on his team, Ari wasn’t able to stay on Team Legend.
However, that doesn’t mean she’s leaving the competition. Adam Levine hit his button to steal her, and just when he thought he definitely had Ari on his team, Kelsea Ballerini hit her own button to challenge him. It was up to Ari to choose whose team she should join. She ultimately decided to join Team Adam.
That means that both Legend and Levine have used up their steals and saves for the season. In next week’s show, they will only be able to keep one artist from each Battle on their teams, and they won’t be able to steal any other coach’s artists.

Kelsea Ballerini, Michael Bublé Use Their Saves
Monday’s new episode of The Voice also featured two saves from coaches Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Bublé. First, Bublé put his artists Kaiya Hamilton and Barry Jean Fontenot together to sing “Cry to Me” by Solomon Burke.
Bublé chose Kaiya as the winner of the Battle, keeping her on his team for the Knockouts. But it wasn’t the end of the road for Barry Jean, as Bublé hit his button to save him while Ballerini hit her own button to potentially steal him for her team. Ultimately, Barry Jean chose to stay with Bublé.
Later in the show, Ballerini paired up her artists Jaelen Johnston and Hailey Wright to sing “Neon Moon” by Brooks & Dunn. Both singers delivered impressive performances, but Ballerini chose Jaelen as the Battle winner. She still kept Hailey on her team by saving her.
All the coaches’ saves have now been used up for this part of the competition. Going into next week’s final Battles round, Ballerini and Bublé both have steals left. Which artists will they grab for their teams? We’ll find out when The Voice Season 27 returns next Monday on NBC.
