‘The Masked Singer’ Winner Jewel Drops New Song, Shares Album Release Date
The Masked Singer Season 6 winner Jewel, aka Queen of Hearts, just gifted fans with a new song. The track, called “Dancing Slow,” is a collaboration with the band Train. Jewel will be touring with them this summer, and she also just announced the release date for her new album.
Jewel Releases New Song ‘Dancing Slow’ with Train
“Dancing Slow” is the perfect name for Jewel’s new song, because the sound will have you doing just that. The track gives the singer an opportunity to show off the beautiful voice that captivated the judges on The Masked Singer.
“Put your arms in mine / Turn the lights down low / You and I in this place only we know,” Jewel sings on the track’s chorus. “Look in my eyes let the world fly by / While we keep dancing slow.”
Train lead singer Pat Monahan joins Jewel on the song, starting with the second verse, as the two singers combine their voices. The band has a new album called AM Gold coming out May 20, and they recently shared the title track.
The Singer’s New Album Is Coming Soon
With the debut of “Dancing Slow,” Jewel also revealed that her new album Freewheelin’ Woman will be released April 15. You can pre-save or pre-order the album now. The singer recently shared the album’s artwork, in which she stands on an orange background wearing a wide-brimmed hat.
This is Jewel’s first studio album since 2015. The singer told Kelly Clarkson that she’s had it finished since before the pandemic, but she chose to wait to release it. She describes it as “more of a soul record.”
“Beyond overjoyed to share these songs with you all summer long on tour!” Jewel wrote to accompany the date announcement, adding that she “can’t wait for you to hear the new music!”
Jewel announced last week that she’s going on tour with Train this summer, along with Blues Traveler, Will Anderson, and The Voice alum Thunderstorm Artis. You can check out the dates on Jewel’s website.
