Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” music video co-star Josh Kloss has accused the pop star of exposing his genitals at a party in 2012. This accusation comes not long after actress Ruby Rose accused Perry of sexual assault.
Katy Perry’s Co-Star Accuses Her of Exposing His Genitals
Josh Kloss recently opened up to Page Six about the alleged incident with Katy Perry, which he says occurred two years after they starred together in Perry’s “Teenage Dream” music video. According to Kloss, he arrived at a birthday party for Perry’s stylist when Perry pulled down his pants and underwear in front of other guests.
Kloss said he was initially “confused” by the alleged incident, as he had a crush on Perry at the time. He explained, “It’s kind of weird, right? When you’re smitten by someone and then they reach out and they grab you or do something to you, that sometimes can be considered — from my generation — as flirtatious, as coming on to you.”
He went on to say that his “brain realized what it was” after “processing and digesting” it. Kloss told the outlet that he “freaked out” over Perry’s alleged actions in the moment, but the pop star just “laughed.” He shared that he has dealt with “silent trauma” over the alleged incident in the years since.
Kloss first spoke about it in 2019 on Instagram, but people apparently told him he should feel “fortunate” and “lucky” that Perry gave him a platform. As he said, “She, who I should be grateful for, devalued and degraded me to the highest level in front of her closest peers. Why would I be grateful for that?”
This isn’t the first accusation of sexual misconduct Katy Perry has faced this month. Actress Ruby Rose recently accused the singer of sexual assault, claiming that Perry rubbed her genitals on Rose’s face at an Australian nightclub almost 20 years ago.
Rose later updated fans that she had filed a police report over several alleged incidents, and was therefore “no longer able to comment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or the individuals involved.”
A representative of Perry denied Rose’s allegations, calling them “dangerous, reckless lies” and adding, “Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.”
