‘The Masked Singer’ Reveals Adorable Season 6 Caterpillar Costume

Slow and steady wins The Masked Singer! The brand new Caterpillar mask has been revealed to fans. Caterpillar isn’t your average insect. The costume is glammed up and totally cute. This is just one of several costumes that have been released this week to hype everyone up for Season 6.
Caterpillar is Inching its Way to ‘The Masked Singer’ Stage
Caterpillar went with a yellow and pink color scheme for this costume. The costume features rhinestoned gloves and sparkly eyebrows. Seeing a caterpillar with eyebrows is next level. Caterpillar does have braces on its teeth. This is such a fun touch to the costume. It could potentially have some kind of relevance to who is under the mask.
This is one of the more difficult costumes to navigate. Caterpillar is also featured in a new trailer for Season 6 so we can get a better look at the entirety of the costume. This thing is massive. Caterpillar has an entire train behind them. The celebrity is standing at the front of the costume. A behind-the-scenes video on YouTube shows that the celebrity has to get strapped into the costume, with the train attached to their back.
The guesses for Caterpillar’s identity are all over the place. One person on Instagram guessed that it could be Randy Newman due to the fact that he scored A Bug’s Life in 1998. Newman’s voice is instantly recognizable so we would be able to tell right away if that was the case. Other guesses on Instagram include Ben Platt and Jennifer Hudson.
New Trailer Teases What is to Come
In the new trailer, Nick Cannon promises that this season of The Masked Singer will make history. The trailer teases some of the upcoming performances that viewers will see this season. Baby performs on the stage wearing a onesie. Cannon appropriately calls them the “biggest baby in Hollywood” which could be a subtle clue that this person is known for crying a lot.
Beach Ball’s huge eyes are a little bit frightening. This costume actually has a face on each side of it. This raises questions about whether or not there are two people inside of this costume. The Russian Dolls costume was such a hit last season. We can’t rule out multiple people sharing a costume. All of The Masked Singer costumes this season are so different from what we have seen on the show previously.
Banana Split is a duo costume. They will perform a piano duet this season. Bull will blow the judges away by doing a split during one of their routines. Ken Jeong looks like he is shedding a tear as he tells one contestant that he is “speechless.” The trailer also shares glimpses of Queen of Hearts, Jester, Mallard, and Cupcake.
