The Masked Singer returned to FOX on Wednesday, January 28, with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle night. Here’s everything you may have missed on the episode. In a crazy turn of events, the celebrity behind Queen Corgi withdrew from the competition ahead of unmasking.
Kylie Cantrall Hides Identity Flawlessly, AGAIN
The first performance of the night was done by none other than Cat Witch, who America already knows as Disney Star Kylie Cantrall. Clues for this celebrity included having her own action figure, cheerleader props, and a YouTube play button. Cat Witch sang “Teenage Dream” by Katy Perry before her additional clue of a pocket watch featuring the time 10:10 was revealed. This week, the panelists guessed Cat Witch was either Victoria Justice (Jenny McCarthy), Ashley Tisdale (Robin Thicke), or Lisa from Blackpink (Ken Jeong).
Up next was Stingray, who dedicated his song, “Momma Song” by Benson Boone to his own mother. In the clue package, Stingray discussed going to his mother for all things, as well as thanking his mother for her advice. His additional clue was sushi, saying “owning restaurants is one part of my empire.” Panelists guessed Jaden Smith (Jenny McCarthy and Rita Ora), Patrick Schwarzenegger (Robin Thicke), or Donald Glover (Ken Jeong).
Following this performance was Galaxy Girl, who performed “Just a Girl” by No Doubt. Her clues in this episode included being in front of the world, having a lot of pressure of being in the public eye, a surfboard, and changing up her look entirely before a big event. Her additional clue was jingle bells. Panelists guessed this was either Dixie D’Amelio (Rita Ora), Anne Hathaway (Ken Jeong), or Hilary Duff (Jenny McCarthy).
Queen Corgi Impresses Before Withdrawing From Competition
The next performer of the episode was Queen Corgi, who performed “Unstoppable” by Sia. Her episode 4 clues included mention of New York City, Saturday Night Live, and headlining a tour where she sold out Madison Square Garden, finally she discussed being a new mom. Queen Corgi’s additional clue was avocado toast, saying she “wouldn’t be anything without her morning toast.” Panelist guesses for Queen Corgi include Amy Schumer (Ken Jeong), Ali Wong (Rita Ora), or Whitney Cummings (Robin Thicke).
The second wildcard of the season has officially been revealed, it is none other than 14 Karat Carrot. For his first ever introduction, clues included mentions of New York City, as well as playing by the rules, motown, and being locked away in jail. 14 Karat Carrot, who said he’s since cleaned up his act, sang “Hold On, I’m Coming” by Sam and Dave. His additional clue was 5, 24 karat carrots. Panelists interpreted this as being a member of a 5 person group. Their guesses were Otis Williams of The Temptations (Robin Thicke), Morgan Freeman (Ken Jeong), or Verdine White (Rita Ora).
In a crazy turn of events, Queen Corgi decided to withdraw from the competition. Instead of continuing her time on the show, the celebrity decided to be unmasked. The show even skipped final guesses for the final reveal. Queen Corgi was revealed as comedian and podcaster Claudia Oshry.
