‘The Masked Singer’ Recap: Hamster Revealed to Be Legendary Comedian

Reading Time: 3 minutes
On Wednesday night, The Masked Singer Season 6 returned for a time travel episode, as Group A performed again and reflected on their lives. Guest judge Leslie Jordan joined the panel in guessing who was behind the masks.
At the end of the night, Hamster was revealed to be comedic actor Rob Schneider. Tonight’s episode also introduced a new wildcard, Jester, who showed off a creepy costume and a rock ‘n’ roll style.
Hamster Is Revealed on ‘The Masked Singer’
Hamster performed “Sabor a Mí” by Luis Miguel, admitting that his Spanish isn’t great, but he wanted to sing it for his wife. The judges were touched by the sweet, romantic performance, with Robin Thicke calling it “one of the most charming things.”
At the end of the show, Hamster was announced as the eliminated contestant, meaning he was unmasked. He turned out to be funny actor and former Saturday Night Live star Rob Scneider. Jenny McCarthy correctly predicted it was him, pointing out that a clue featured Saturday circled on a calendar as an SNL reference.
The other judges kept with the comedy theme, guessing everyone from Cheech Marin to Will Ferrell. After he was revealed, Schneider shared that the song was for his wife Patricia, as well as his three daughters.

New Wildcard Jester Rocks the Stage in First Performance
Wednesday’s Masked Singer episode introduced a new, terrifying wildcard called Jester. The judges and audience were visibly creeped out by their costume, which featured a manic smile. Jester seemed to have a British accent, and said they’ve been thought of as an “icon” and “scoundrel.”
For their first performance, Jester sang “School’s Out” by Alice Cooper, showing off a rocker edge and an undeniable stage presence that had Thicke standing on the judges’ table. They also shared a throwback item, which was a beat-up jacket.
The judges were torn over whether Jester is a comedian or a rock star. Thicke guessed Dee Snyder, but he’s not British, so we can probably rule him out. Ken Jeong suggested Ricky Gervais, but he seemed to be leaning more toward a rocker like Roger Daltrey of the Who. We definitely have a lot to think about.
Bull, Pepper Deliver Impressive Performances
Bull kicked off Wednesday night’s show with an emotional performance of “Make You Feel My Love” by Bob Dylan, famously covered by Adele. The judges were moved by the performance, with Nicole Scherzinger saying they “stripped it all back.” Jeong guessed that it would be Taye Diggs, which seems a lot more likely than McCarthy’s guess of Lil Nas X.
Pepper also delivered a powerhouse performance of “No Tears Left to Cry” by Ariana Grande. The judges guessed various pop stars, from Pink to Ellie Goulding. Jeong even guessed Idina Menzel, but we’d recognize Elsa’s voice anywhere, and that’s not her.
