The Voice has shared an early release clip from Monday’s new episode of Season 27, featuring Team Legend artists Ari Camille and Bryson Battle in a Battle to Muni Long’s “Made for Me.”Both artists delivered powerful performances, leaving coach John Legend with a tough choice.
Team Legend Artists Battle in The Voice Early Release
For their Battle, Ari and Bryson took on a duet of “Made for Me” by Muni Long, which gave them both a chance to show off their incredible range and soulful style. The song built in power as they went on, until they were both belting out the lyrics.
Bryson was a four-chair turn in his Blind Audition, ultimately choosing to join John Legend’s team. Meanwhile, Ari turned two coaches’ chairs — Legend and Michael Bublé. She also chose to work with Legend. Both Ari and Bryson are 21 years old.
The coaches gave the two singers a standing ovation for their Battle. Adam Levine remarked to Bryson that he “wanted so desperately to have you on my team.” Legend jokingly told him, “Sometimes we get disappointed in life.”
Levine said he would lean toward choosing Bryson as the winner of the Battle, but admitted that it “wouldn’t be an easy decision to make.” Kelsea Ballerini jumped in to say that she appreciated how the two artists “didn’t try to out-sing each other.”
Bublé called Ari a “joy to watch,” then sarcastically said Bryson reminds him of himself. Legend joked that they have “identical voices,” to which Bublé said, “I wish.” He said he “wouldn’t pick” either of the two singers over the other.
Legend said he sees “star potential” in Ari, and he told Bryson that “everybody’s jaw is on the floor seeing the things that you can do with your voice.” We’ll have to wait until Monday’s show to find out which artist Legend chose to keep on his team.
