Britain’s Got Talent has shared an early release audition from this Saturday’s new episode of Series 19, featuring an acrobatic group called The Rafikiz. The four men from Tanzania created a human pyramid that shocked the judges.
The Rafikiz Audition in BGT Early Release Clip
Before their audition, The Rafikiz shared that they’re focused on getting to the Finals of BGT for now, rather than winning. The group proceeded to perform a gravity-defying acrobatic routine that stunned the judges and audience. The members of the group showed off some incredible strength and balance to maintain their positions.
In one of the most impressive moments of the routine, two group members held a third member on their shoulders, while the third member balanced a fourth member upside-down and head-to-head, with no hands to hold him. The judges couldn’t believe their eyes.
In the final move of the performance, one group member held a metal platform in his mouth, which another member balanced on using just his head. The judges were so shocked, they jumped out of their chairs.
Judge Amanda Holden called the act “so thrilling and so dangerous,” while Alesha Dixon called it “a brilliant presentation.” KSI said the group was on “a different level,” while Simon Cowell said they “put on a show.” The Rafikiz earned four “yes” votes to move on.
The Rafikiz aren’t the only act teased by BGT ahead of Saturday’s new episode. The show also shared a clip of singer Finley Barrett-Carter, who performed “Burning Love” by Elvis Presley. The judges and crowd seemed to enjoy it, but we’ll have to wait to find out if Finley moved on.
Another interesting act teased in an early release clip featured “Simon Towel,” a person wearing a giant mask of Simon Cowell’s face, with a beach towel wrapped around their waist. Alesha Dixon buzzed the act, and Cowell himself didn’t appear amused. What will he have to say about the performance?
BGT will air a new episode of Series 19 this Saturday night at 7 p.m. on ITV1, ITVX, and STV.
