The Voice has shared an early release clip from Monday night’s new episode of Season 28, featuring a Knockout between Team Bublé artists Rob Cole and Marty O’Reilly. Both singers impressed the coaches, but Michael Bublé can only choose one as the winner.
Team Bublé Artists Impress in The Voice Knockout
Rob Cole previously auditioned unsuccessfully for Season 25. He turned two chairs in his Season 28 Blind Audition, although coach Michael Bublé used his block button on Reba McEntire, which meant Rob automatically joined his team. He went on to win his Battle against teammate Austin Gilbert.
Marty O’Reilly turned three chairs in his Blind Audition, choosing to join Team Bublé. He went on to win his Battle against teammate Carly Harvey. For the Knockouts round, Rob and Marty were paired up to each sing a song of their choosing.
First, Rob took the stage to deliver a heartfelt performance of “Wondering Why” by The Red Clay Strays. He played the keyboard as he sang. Then Marty took the stage to perform a gritty rendition of Joe Cocker’s “The Letter.”

What Did the Coaches Have to Say?
Coach Snoop Dogg praised Marty’s performance, complimenting “the way you howl and growl” and adding, “You could win The Voice. Like, you were that good.” He said he would choose Marty as the Knockout winner.
Niall Horan told Rob that he “told the story so well,” encouraging him to play piano more during his performances. He called Marty “captivating to watch.” He had a hard time choosing which artist should stay on Bublé’s team.
Reba McEntire told Marty that he “channeled a little bit of Joe [Cocker] here tonight” with his cover. Meanwhile, Bublé said he regretted pairing Rob and Marty up, calling them both “too good not to go on.” We’ll have to wait until Monday’s episode to find out which artist he chose to keep on his team.
