Age doesn’t matter with this amazing Spain’s Got Talent audition performed by award-winning duo Luna Girls. The duo consists of aerial performers Marika Gould and Marina Luna, they are 24 and 50 years old respectively. The two auditioned for Spain’s Got Talent with a stunning aerial act with unbelievable execution.
Duo Aerialists Impress on Spain’s Got Talent Stage
Leaving the judges speechless with the aerial display of skill and artistry, the Luna girls have successfully made their mark on the show. The two accomplished international aerialists have come together to shine in this powerful and evocative performance.
Markia is a young professional ballerina who joined Luna Girls and found chemistry with her partner. On the other hand, Marina is a 50-year-old seasoned aerial hoop performer who is actually a late bloomer on their field.
“I started taking circus classes when I was 30 and started performing at 35, professionally. It’s never too late.” Luna said.
The duo performers then proceeded to amaze the viewers with their mesmerizing performance that took a year to perfect. The judges were also amazed by their performance except for judge Risto Mejide who expected more from the duo.
“The performance left me feeling a bit cold,” Mejide said (translated to English). “I was expecting something more… flashy or outstanding.”
Fans Criticized Mejide’s Decision
It seems like Mejide’s attempts at trying to be the Spanish version of Simon Cowell doesn’t sit well with fans of the show. Fans fled to Spain’s Got Talent’s Instagram post to disagree with the judge’s comments about Luna Girls’ performance.
“Risto Mejide bores me, the gentleman is already out of fashion,” the fan commented (translated to English). “I’m seeing the great girls in acrobatics, but the guy is pretending to be a professional in the matter. He only believes his opinion and is so stubborn and ridiculous.”
Mejide sparked drama with his decision to give Luna Girls their single “no,” vote from the judges. He even started somewhat of an argument with Dani Martinez over their differing opinions of the duo’s performance. Only time will tell if the improved future performances of Luna Girls will change Mejide’s opinion of them.
