Simon Cowell Says Planning Wedding to Lauren Silverman Is ‘Easy’

America’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell and his fiancée Lauren Silverman have been engaged for over a year now. According to Cowell, planning the wedding has been “easy.” The music mogul previously said they weren’t using a wedding planner.
Simon Cowell Says Planning Wedding Is ‘Easy’
“It depends on how big or small you make it,” Cowell told People of the wedding-planning process. “Don’t forget, we’ve known each other a long time, so trust me, this is not gonna be a thousand people turning up or whatever. It’s easy.”
The couple got engaged over Christmas vacation in 2021. Last year, Cowell said he was “planning it all,” rather than using “one of these ghastly wedding planners.”
“I am planning it all, otherwise I know what will happen — there will be 600 people and it’ll get out of control, like my 50th birthday party,” Cowell told The Sun. “No one knows when it’s going to be — that’ll be a surprise, even for Lauren.”
He later explained that he wants the wedding to be “spontaneous,” saying, “I don’t think we’ll be getting married in Las Vegas but whatever we do, it’ll be fun.”

Cowell Has Been Busy with Got Talent Lately
Cowell might not have much time for wedding planning these days, as he’s been busy filming both Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent, which are premiering this spring. Cowell is returning to the judging panel on both shows.
BGT will premiere the first two episodes of Series 16 on April 15 and 16. Then next month, on May 30, AGT will premiere Season 18. The show is currently filming in Pasadena. Cowell is joined on the panel by Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara.
