Simon Cowell Cancels ‘X Factor: All Stars’ and Goes To War With ‘Little Mix’

Wow… Simon Cowell has chosen to cancel the upcoming spin off show ‘ X Factor: All Stars‘! It’s expected that taking it’s place is an all new show. Here’s a closer look into why Simon made the decision and how it affects ‘Little Mix’.
Simon has some new ideas for a show
Initially, Simon wanted to make a similar version to ‘The Champions’ but on X Factor, called ‘All Stars’. The idea has now been dropped after big names had been put forward to compete in the show. Judges Paula Abdul and Louis Walsh were set to join the panel with Cowell.
However, Simon Cowell has recently mentioned that he has high hopes for a new show, that will be focused on group acts. He said in a recent interview:
“This is a show to find a band to launch UK-Pop. It’s more than winning a record contract, it’s starting a new music wave.”
The show will be called ‘X Factor: The Band’ and it’s main premise will be to find the UK’s next biggest girl and boy band. Sounds exciting! Therefore, ‘All Stars’ will not air this November.
Several fans have taken to Twitter to express their upset about not seeing big names such as Leona Lewis take the stage once again for ‘All Stars’ and even attacking the X Factor boss for being unreliable with the show.
Are you disappointed about ‘X Factor: All Stars’ being canceled?
What Is ‘X Factor: The Band’ – what can we expect?
A spokesperson from ITV has confirmed that: “We are hugely excited to confirm The X Factor: The Band to air in December 2019 on ITV.”
“Simon Cowell and The X Factor have discovered some of the biggest pop groups in history, including One Direction, Fifth Harmony and Little Mix. Now the aim is to find the new superstar group – though now in record-breaking time.”
So, it’s not all big celebs hitting our screens this year, we’re getting a show closer to an original version of ‘X Factor’, we can only presume that it’s another attempt to boost the ratings for the show. Also, Cowell mentioned that it’s possible we’ll be getting three shows next year… yes three! ‘Celebrity’, ‘All Stars’ and ‘The Band’ all in 2020 – sounds like a busy year ahead.
Auditions for the new series will be held at Sony Music, London UK. No dates have been announced as of now. Check the ‘X Factor’ twitter for updates.

‘X FACTOR: The Band’ is coming for Little Mix
Speaking to The Sun, Simon confirmed that auditions will begin soon for the new show and the show will air next month, getting in before Little Mix’s BBC series The Search that airs early next year.
Ahem ahem, remember World’s Best anyone? AGT: Champions swallowed it whole for breakfast.
“I was approached to co-produce that show last year by Little Mix’s management. I told them the problem was we have a conflict of interest because we are launching X Factor The Band in 2020. We were told their show was going to launch in 2021. Then we had the fallout and find out Little Mix were bringing their show forward.”
He added, “was that intentional because we are doing our show? I have no idea. But regardless, it was too much fun not to do this year. I would rather it was us doing it first. It 100% makes it more exciting there being a battle.”
Simon’s hopes from the show? “K-Pop is ruling the world,” he added. “This is a show to find a band to launch UK-Pop. It’s more than winning a record contract, it’s starting a new music wave.”
Totally NBD. Cool.
If this is an indication of what is to come, we can barely wait for ‘X Factor: The Band’!
Pro-tip: Don’t eat in Simon Cowell’s kitchen unless you want to be on the menu little Mix!
