AGT Winner Darci Lynne’s SHOCKING Transformation

Jill O'Rourke | Talent Recap

In 2017, singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer won AGT Season 12 when she was just 12 years old. Two years later, she’s a runner-up on AGT: The Champions, and is currently on her second tour.

In a new interview with the AJC, 14-year-old Darci talks about how this tour differs from her last one, and how she continues to hone her talent since taking home the million-dollar prize.

Darci Lynne is announced as the winner of “AGT” Season 12.

‘AGT’ Winner Darci Lynne Keeps Improving

Darci told the AJC that she still performs “Summertime” during her shows. That song, performed with her puppet Penelope, earned her the Golden Buzzer from Mel B in her audition for America’s Got Talent.

“I’ve definitely improved,” she told the publication about how she’s changed since winning AGT. “My voice has grown. I’m still proud of what I did then.”

In order to keep improving, Darci said she watches video of herself performing, at the request of her ventriloquism coach. She shared, “I hate doing it but it helps.”

Darci Lynne Heads Out On Her Second Tour

Darci is currently traveling the United States as part of her Fresh Out of the Box tour. She performs two or three shows a month, only on weekends.

“I think I’ve definitely stepped up my game a little bit,” she said of how this tour differs from her last. “I have some new material. It’s still the same family-friendly show. I have lots of great music, a lot of different genres. I’ve added opera!”

She also shared that there is no opening act on this tour, and she’s without her family band. But that doesn’t mean she’s not still close with her family. She says they’re “very supportive,” and have kept her from having a “Miley Cyrus phase.”
