The 2023 MTV Movie & TV Award nominations were announced this week, and a few of our favorite talent show stars were recognized. That includes RuPaul’s Drag Race, which earned three nominations. Nick Cannon and Kelly Clarkson also earned nods.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Nominated at MTV Movie & TV Awards

RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars was nominated for Best Competition Series in this year’s MTV Movie & TV Awards. It’s up against All Star Shore, Big Brother, The Challenge: USA, and The Traitors. RuPaul also earned a nomination in the Best Host category.

The Best Reality On-Screen Team category also features an iconic Drag Race duo: host RuPaul and judge Michelle Visage. The show’s Instagram shared the exciting news on Wednesday, writing, “We’re seeing TRIPLE!”

The show encouraged fans to cast their votes on the MTV website. You can vote up to 20 times per day for your favorites. Then tune in to the ceremony on Sunday, May 7, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV, when the winners will finally be announced.

Nick Cannon, Kelly Clarkson Were Also Nominated

RuPaul will be going up against a couple of fellow talent show stars in the Best Host category in this year’s MTV Movie & TV Awards. Both Nick Cannon and Kelly Clarkson were also nominated for the award.

Cannon was nominated for his hosting role on FOX talent show The Masked Singer. Meanwhile, Clarkson was nominated for her talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show. They’ll be up against Drew Barrymore (The Drew Barrymore Show) and Joel Madden (Ink Masters).

Surprisingly, Cannon and Clarkson’s talent shows The Masked Singer and The Voice weren’t nominated in the Best Competition Series category. America’s Got Talent and American Idol also went ignored in this year’s list of nominees.

Will you be voting for any of the mentioned nominees? Let us know who you’re rooting for in the comments below, and remember to tune in to the awards on May 7.
