The main characters, Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly are returning to their roles of Zed and Addison in the sequel of the film. Their characters are embarking on their senior year at Seabrook High School. The narrative follows Zed through attempting to be the first zombie to attend college, while Addison is preparing for the school’s international cheer off. Everything in the character’s lives flip upside down when aliens arrive with “something other than friendly competition.”
The first Zombies film premiered on the Disney Channel in 2018. The original film follows the zombie football player and human cheerleader as they fall in love and get their groups to coexist with one another. This film was almost an automatic hit on the network, bringing in two and a half million viewers on the network premiere date.
The hit film’s sequel returned to Disney Channel with trouble on the horizon. The social groups had to adjust once more and learn to live with the existence of werewolves. Fans cannot wait to see the next installment of the series, since Zombies 2 ended with a cliffhanger.
RuPaul joins this Disney cast after his recent role in the original series Amphibia. Outside of the network, this dragstar has appear in an array of films like The Brady Bunch Movie, A Very Brady Sequel, But I’m a Cheerleader, and his holiday film, The B*tch That Stole Christmas. He has won 11 Primetime Emmy Awards with his drag competition series, RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Zombies 3 is set to stream exclusively on Disney + beginning on July 15. In addition, Zombies 3 will premiere on Disney Channel on August 12 at 8 p.m. ET. The network version will feature an extra “lost song” not present in the streaming edition.
