Putri Ariani Says Getting an ‘AGT’ Golden Buzzer is a Dream Come True

Indonesian singer Putri Ariani recently reacted to her Golden Buzzer moment on America’s Got Talent season 18. The 17-year-old contestant revealed that she’s always wished for something like this to happen to her.

In just one night, Putri Ariani has introduced herself as one of the strongest AGT contestant this season. During her audition, she sang two of her original songs, “Loneliness” and “Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word.” Reflecting on her performance, Putri says the it’s only the beginning.
“My journey starts now. I always hope that someday I can be part of the show and got a Golden Buzzer and now my dream has come true,” she said.
In some instances, judge Simon Cowell asks a contestant to perform another song give them another shot to pass the auditions. While such is a crucial moment worth being nervous about, Putri saw the music mogul’s request in a different light.
“When Simon asked me to sing a second song, I feel so happy because I can share more emotions to the audience,” she said.
Putri is evidently thankful for Cowell for pressing the Golden Buzzer. The Indonesian singer then stated that she’s “happy” and “excited” for the next round of the competition.
She Won Indonesia’s Got Talent 2014
Hailing from Yogyakarta, Putri’s passion for music kicked off when she was about three years old. Interestingly, Got Talent is not entirely unaware of her impressive and angelic voice. She joined Indonesia’s Got Talent when she was eight years old, then securing the winning title at the time.
While the teenager recognizes the struggles of being blind, she says that music is her way to boost her confidence.
“My biggest challenge is people look at me just as a blind person, not as a musician. But when I’m singing, I feel like, um, a superstar,” she before her audition.
America’s Got Talent fans will witness Putri perform on the AGT stage again during the Live Shows.
