“The Way That You Love Me”
Reaching 2.8 million views, Abdul skyrocketed to mega viral status after posting a video with Sharia True. True is one of the app’s most notable dancers. She has a whopping 2.3 million followers, and is one-third of the social media family, The True Crew. In this TikTok, the two are featured dancing to Adbul’s “The Way That You Love Me.” This blend of old- and new-school combines Abdul’s signature style with a new generation of dance. This video also sparked the trend of her collaboration with other popular young stars.
“Straight Up”
With such success stemming from her collaboration with one TikTok star, Abdul decided for form a little crew. Once again dancing alongside Sharia True, she decided to add her sister Sharlize, Michael Dameski, Sage Rosen, and Charlize Glass. Reaching a massive 6.9 million views on Tiktok, Abdul stood front and center as they danced to her smash hit “Straight Up.” Abdul’s time on the app has definitely brought her music back to life, and I for one am here for it.
The Original Masked Dancer
In promotion of The Masked Dancer, the judge took to TikTok to post a throwback video of her on stage with MC Skat Kat. The fictional character appeared in the video of her 1989 hit, “Opposites Attract.”
After season one, Abdul became the judge with the most correct guesses. She impressively guessed Gabby Douglas as Cotton Candy, who ended up taking the win. That same season she called Brian McKnight as Cricket, Jordin Sparks as Exotic Bird, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy as Sloth.
Paula Abdul’s Special Moment with Impractical Jokers Star
On an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Abdul shared a special moment with Impractical Jokers star, Sal Vulcano. The performer was the focal point of Impractical Jokers: The Movie, which premiered in February last year. In Abdul’s TikTok, she captured a cute moment in the episode, where Vulcano professes his love for her. Vulcano admitted the childhood crush he had on her, while the artist presented him a rose, The Bachelor style. This video amassed 1.2 million views, and came with an abundance of comments from adoring fans.
Performing for The First Order
In this viral video, Abdul is seen dancing with TikTok star Jojo Crichton at the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction in Orlando, Fl. The dancer was sure to capture the iconic fictional military in her Star Wars reference. Crichton is a creator based in Orlando, and posts an abundance of content relating to the theme parks in the area. Overall, this seemed to be the perfect opportunity for a collaboration once Abdul rolled into town.
“Be Myself”
In more than one Tiktok, Abdul can be seen making moves with Montana Tucker. The viral sensation teamed up with Abdul to showcase choreography for her song “Be Myself.” The performers are seen dancing simultaneously while also being transported to different colored rooms.
