The Masked Singer panelist Nicole Scherzinger recently took to Instagram to deny rumors that she and her boyfriend Thom Evans had broken up. The Pussycat Dolls singer teased that they were looking ahead to spending Valentine’s Day together.
Nicole Scherzinger Denies Breakup from Thom Evans
According to the Daily Record, Scherzinger posted a screenshot of an article from The Sun on Instagram stories last week. The article claimed that she and her boyfriend, former rugby player Thom Evans, had broken up.
“Wow this is news to us,” Scherzinger wrote in response to the rumors, adding, “What a joke.”
The singer included a cry laughing emoji and tagged Evans’ Instagram handle, writing, “See you for Valentine’s Day babe.” Evans apparently shared the same message on his own Instagram stories, tagging Scherzinger.
Scherzinger and Evans first met when Evans competed on The X Factor: Celebrity in 2019, as part of the group Try Star. Scherzinger was a judge on the show at the time. The couple confirmed they were dating in January 2020.

How Did the Breakup Rumors Start?
Last week, The Sun published an article claiming that Evans had told his friends that he was moving back to the UK due to relationship troubles with Scherzinger.
“Thom looked distraught,” a source reportedly told the outlet. “He was saying things have gone wrong lately and now he’s back in the UK for the foreseeable, while Nicole lives full-time in Los Angeles.”
The article also suggested that Scherzinger could have been hinting at a breakup in a recent Instagram post in which she wrote, “Fresh start. New beginnings.” At least one commenter actually wondered if it was a reference to a split.
Just a few weeks before that, Scherzinger posted several photos of her and Evans dressed up to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Evans also posted a photo from that night on his own account.
